Growing up in this blessed place, we learned firsthand the true value of nature, purity, and genuine care. That is where our heart beats; that is where Renteana was born. Our daily life was inextricably linked with the natural rhythms of the seasons, learning to listen to the earth and to deeply appreciate every small treasure that the environment generously offered to us.
We remember our parents, every spring and summer, collecting the gifts of the land with immense respect and patience: herbs, wild fruits, and aromatic spices. It was the essential preparation for the long, heavy, and demanding mountain winter, driven by their deep concern to ensure that our home and children would never lack anything. However, their love and care never stopped at our own doorstep. Our family always made sure to share these goods with neighbors who were alone, elderly, or helpless, teaching us from a very early age that food is, above all, an act of love, solidarity, and selfless offering to the community.
The “Busy Aunts” of Our Childhood
During the cold days of winter, the life of the family moved right next to the roaring fireplace, which served as the absolute center of our world. There, between playing games and studying our school lessons, we always stood right by our mother’s side — our very own, true “busy aunt” — helping her with immense enthusiasm to knead loaves of fresh bread, bake homemade sweets, and prepare warm, invigorating herbal beverages from local ingredients. Our brand, Renteana, proudly borrows its name from our beloved homeland, Rentina. It is a humble tribute to the village that served as our starting point.
